Advancing Biomarker Discovery in Ovarian Cancer With High-Throughput Proteomics

Ovarian cancer claims approximately 140,000 lives each year worldwide, and the lack of accurate biomarkers for early detection significantly hinders effective treatment and clinical management. This webinar describes how a new platform for high-throughput proteomics was used to identify multiple proteins associated with ovarian cancer. A 22-protein model was derived that discriminates ovarian cancer cases from benign controls with high accuracy.

Moreover, key biological processes associated with the differentially expressed proteins were identified, providing valuable pathophysiological insights that could help to better understand the underlying biology and guide future therapeutic development. Finally, the data were used to demonstrate the value of measuring as many proteins as possible in biomarker discovery studies.

Attend this webinar to:

  • Hear how advances in proteomics technologies are enabling important new discoveries in cancer research
  • Learn how advanced biostatistics can be applied to derive protein-based models that identify patients with malignant tumors
  • See how pathway enrichment analysis enables pathophysiological insights from protein biomarker data
  • Get a first glimpse of a powerful new platform for high-throughput protein biomarker discovery
